Introduction :: What this blog is all about?

This blog is dedicated to my story of preparing for GATE. So let me tell you my current situation. I graduated from Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Gwalior. I graduated with 6.5 CGPA in Computer Science & Engineering. In my college days, I did web-development and solved competitive programming problems. I never prepared for GATE. Neither did I studied my subjects in college properly. I used question banks like Shivani publications at last time to just get passing marks in the exam. In campus placements, I got placed in three multinational companies. Accenture, Infosys & Capgemini. Salary of all three companies is in the range of 20k to 30k. After not getting into any good start-up with a good salary I realized that skills(in my case web-development) have no value if you don't have the platform(like IIT). Though I got placed in a startup in Indore, I had to work 12 hours there and all those 12 hours I did web-development. I realized this is slavery. I left my job after three days working there, I realized the value of work-life balance. I now decided to prepare for GATE with a full-time job in Accenture or Infosys(Still haven't got the joining date). So this blog is dedicated to all my experiences related to GATE preparation.

For C Programming for GATE preparation, I ordered this book today from Flipkart  The C Programming Language 2nd Edition (English, Paperback, Brian W. Kernighan). This   book is highly recommended on the Internet. EDIT 22 AUGUST 2017, 8:06 PM : So finally today the book arrived. My current target is to read 25-30 pages daily of this book and make appropriate handwritten notes from it.
